  Ramasimhan Murder case: A story of conversion and murder.  Yet another unknown chapter in Kerala history. Ramasimhan (sitting) A couple of decades after the large scale murder of Hindus by the Muslims of Kerala in 1921 , there was a celebrated murder that happened in Malappuram District just two weeks before independence on August 3 rd 1947. Uneen Sahib was a wealthy Muslim businessman. His father Moidu Saheeb had leased 600 acres of land from Kundrackal Nair family near Kodur in Malappuram (dt) and was running a successful rubber business. He had built a huge bungalow there named "malaparamba" and had used stones from the nearby dilapidated Narasimha temple to build it. Uneen Sahib also built a large palatial house in Chemmankadavu near Malappuram town. His residence in Chemmankadavu which still exists Muslims in the 1920s and 30s were very poor and being one of the few wealthy businessmen during that period he felt obliged to help them and did it generously.
